Accuracy is a core value of Prism Review. When errors occur, we are committed to reviewing them fairly and correcting confirmed mistakes promptly and transparently.
Reporting an Error
Readers who believe an article contains an error may contact the Prism Review editorial team through the website contact page and provide:
- The article title and URL
- The passage or claim believed to be inaccurate
- A clear description of the suspected error
- Supporting information or authoritative sources, if available
Review Process
The editorial team reviews correction requests against the available evidence and may consult the author, editor, cited sources, subject of the reporting, or qualified specialists. If an error is confirmed, the appropriate correction, clarification, update, or retraction will be made as soon as reasonably possible. A disagreement over interpretation or opinion is not, by itself, a factual error.
Types of Corrections
Minor Updates
Grammar, spelling, formatting, link repairs, and other changes that do not alter the meaning of an article may be made without a formal correction notice.
Factual Corrections
Errors involving names, titles, dates, figures, quotations, locations, research findings, or other substantive facts will be corrected promptly. When the correction could matter to a reader’s understanding, a note will ordinarily explain what changed.
Clarifications
A clarification may be added when published language is factually defensible but incomplete, ambiguous, or reasonably open to a materially misleading interpretation.
Significant Corrections
When a correction materially changes an article’s meaning, conclusion, or central factual premise, Prism Review will add a prominent correction note describing the change. If necessary, headlines, summaries, social copy, or related materials will also be corrected.
Retractions and Removals
Retraction or removal is reserved for rare circumstances, including content that is materially unreliable, fabricated, unlawfully published, or likely to cause serious harm that cannot be addressed through correction. When appropriate and legally permissible, the article page will retain a notice explaining the action.
Correction Notices
Correction notes should be clear about the nature of the error and the change made. Prism Review will not silently alter substantive facts. Routine updates that add new information may be labeled as updates rather than corrections.
Commitment to Transparency
We welcome good-faith feedback and view corrections as an essential part of editorial integrity and public trust. Submitting a request does not guarantee a change, but every specific, evidence-supported claim will be considered on its merits.
